What's it about?

The excursion leads to the protected area "Wenzlanger" and is accompanied by qualified conservation authorities from Burgenland. The protected area is an exceptionally species-rich, valuable dry and xeric grassland on serpentine ground in the Bernsteiner Mountains between the villages of Bernstein and Redlschlag, offering an impressive panoramic view of the Oberpullendorf Basin, the Neusiedler See, southern Burgenland, the Wechsel, the Bucklige Welt, and beyond. In addition to expert explanations about nature conservation, protected areas, and the plants and animals found there, there will also be information about the landscape and geology of the area and its surroundings.
