In Redlschlag near Bernstein there is a viewing cone, also affectionately called "Guglhupf", which offers a wonderful panoramic view at 794m. In clear weather, an impressive panorama extends from the Rax and Schneeberg in the northwest, across the Bucklige Welt, Lake Neusiedl in the east, and as far as the Pannonian Plain in the southeast. At the foot of the cone is a crescent-shaped stone wall that encloses a fire pit. The so-called "Kreidfeuer" (chalk fire) served as a warning system against approaching enemies in the Middle Ages and early modern period.
