The exclusive opening evening full of stories, music, and culinary delights! What connects the Bucklige Welt with India? More than one might initially think: it is the power of stories! For this year's kickoff of Fabelhaft Niederösterreich, Folke Tegetthoff will tell stories from his new book "India in 65 Stories – A Magical Journey Without a Map," which invites a new discovery of the fascinating subcontinent through fairy-tale-like narratives. Joining him on stage: Iranian musician Mona Matbou Riahi, who will weave a fantastic sound tapestry. Christoph Stocker, actor at the Volksoper Wien, will read from Folke Tegetthoff's Bucklige Welt fairy tales. And as a special guest, His Excellency, the Indian ambassador to Austria, Shambhu S. Kumaran, who will, together with Folke Tegetthoff, bridge two cultures in a short talk show. The enjoyable evening will conclude with an extraordinary finger food buffet prepared by Gerda Stocker, who combines regional specialties with the flavors and spices of India.
