What's it about?

Mirror of the world of my sounding dreams For the first time, the two orchestras are merging with students from higher music education institutions in Burgenland (Oberschützen Institute of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and Joseph Haydn Private University Burgenland) into a joint ensemble. Both institutions have been regularly performing publicly with their orchestras successfully for many decades. The special occasion for the first collaboration of both institutions and their orchestras is Friedrich Cerha's seven-part orchestral cycle "Spiegel" (1960/61), a milestone of Austrian post-war avant-garde. This challenging cycle, involving more than 100 musicians, brings together the artists studying in Burgenland into a single sound body.
