The Wiener Chamber Orchestra, which has long become an important artistic partner of the festival, presents Liszt's richly sonorous "Festklänge" and his famous symphonic poem "Les Préludes" in an exciting dialogue with Wagner's impressive opera overtures. An opening concert that combines historical depth, orchestral brilliance, and immediate fascination, reflecting the special mission of the Liszt Festival at the birthplace of one of Europe's most significant musicians. With Martin Sieghart, one of Austria's most experienced and versatile conductors, making his debut at the podium.
