Peter Floridan - Folk Play in Two Acts by Sepp Gmasz Based on the legend of the young master soap boiler Peter Floridan, who in 1708 suffered a heroic death alongside many other slaughtered citizens during the storming of Tabor by the Kuruc. The Kuruc General had him dragged to death by a horse. The play tells of the everyday life of that time, of the hardships and fears of the people, but also of their joy of life and love of freedom. The plot and the characters are largely based on facts, as they are handed down in the old council protocols of the Neusiedl city archive. All actors are amateur performers from Neusiedl am See.
