What's it about?
Sterz enjoyment between tradition and creativity: The Burgenland classic celebrates its festival season. There are dishes that carry the taste of an entire region within them. Sterz is one of them. What once came to the table as a humble farmer's meal is now considered a culinary cultural asset – down-to-earth, honest, and surprisingly versatile. Between steaming pan and crispy crust, Sterz tells stories of simple times, of lived craftsmanship, and of a Burgenland that knows its roots – and proudly carries them on its tongue. Whether made from buckwheat, corn grits, potatoes, or even with a sweet note – Sterz contains the diversity of the region. Sometimes hearty with cracklings, sometimes light with pumpkin or interpreted vegetarian, Sterz reinvents itself again and again and yet remains completely itself: a true original. Furthermore, there will be a selection of different strudels – from sweet to savory. The fresh Sturm (new wine) provides the perfect culinary experience and atmospherically rounds off the event. A live cooking show will take place on site at 1:00 PM. Live music from 2:30 PM. Free entry.
