DREIKÖNIGSKONZERT: Ludwig van Beethoven, Peter Iljitsch Tschaikowski

What's it about?

A deliberate programmatic call sign is set in this year's Dreikönigskonzert (Epiphany Concert). The traditional matinee on January 6th offers the Tiroler Festspiele Erl orchestra the opportunity to showcase its symphonic qualities after an intense opera season. The musicians will perform one of the most compelling works of orchestral literature: Tschaikovsky's Sixth Symphony, the 'Pathétique'. Before that, Ludwig van Beethoven's Fifth Piano Concerto will be played with Italian pianist Alessandro Taverna, who has been building an international career for years after winning numerous international competitions.
