In this family concert, this riddle is playfully unraveled. Told in an entertaining, lively manner, we meet the young Verdi from the village of Le Roncole in the Po Valley as well as the influential companions of his life, including singer Giuseppina Strepponi and publisher Giulio Ricordi. With lots of music and surprising insights into the eventful history of a young man, a colorful portrait emerges that transports young and old alike into 19th-century Italy and the world of Italian opera. A staged portrait of Giuseppe Verdi for an orchestra, a conductor, and four performers.
