For centuries, the Almabtrieb (alpine cattle drive) in the Alps has been one of the most important dates in the rural calendar! The whole village celebrates as the alpine cows, adorned with hand-tied bushes, ribbons, wreaths, and saintly plaques, make their way to their home stables.From approximately 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, there will be a great atmosphere in the center of Zell with a varied supporting program and musical entertainment.Food and drink will be well catered for:Zillertal specialties and typical Zillertal delicacies such as Zillertaler Krapfen, Kasspatzln, etc...Farmer's market with handicrafts - demonstration of old crafts:Basket weaving, carving, schnapps distilling and much more.
