The Zillertal painter and sculptor Anton Franz Mair from Zell im Zillertal has always been fascinated by his homeland, the Tyrolean landscape, and old farmhouses. At the beginning of his artistic career, drawings (charcoal and pencil) were more or less the focus of his work. In the early 70s, he began creating with oil paints. For nature and environmental reasons, he switched to acrylic and pigment (natural colors).
