The authors Dietmar Jacobs and Moritz Netenjakob are among the best in satirical social analysis. What begins as a harmless members' meeting of a tennis club escalates due to the purchase of a new grill into a highly explosive debate about tolerance, prejudices, and the Austrian club spirit. Under the direction of Thomas Kuen, the Peter-Anich-Haus transforms into a lively playing field where the punchlines fly back and forth like in a tennis doubles match, taking the audience's breath away. What motivated you to bring this comedy to Oberperfuss, and what can the audience especially look forward to? Thomas: "Extrawurst" reflects our society on a small scale. Anyone who has been to a club meeting knows how quickly small issues turn into fundamental disputes. I was intrigued by how the play exposes the limits of our supposed tolerance with incredible wit. The audience can look forward to a highly pointed, fast-paced production where they often find themselves caught in the act.
