Gasslerkapelle

You will find the Gasslerkapelle in the center of Oberperfuss, to the left of the Peter-Anich-Haus. It is also called "Unser Herr im Elend" (Our Lord in Misery), and houses an old Christ figure modeled after the Man of Sorrows from the Wieskirche in Upper Bavaria. In the past, the consecration of the dead took place here, who were led from the upper parts of the village to the cemetery. On Palm Sunday, the community celebrates the blessing of palms here, followed by a solemn procession with the brass band into the parish church.
