CLERQ

What's it about?

CLERQ Minimalism and club energy Bassist and composer Clemens Rofner presents a new version of CLERQ: what started as a conceptual studio project has developed into a high-energy quartet that bridges structured minimalism and club energy. The music is the direct result of years of exploring different musical worlds. Rofner's experience as a sideman – shaped by the intimacy of chamber music, the rhythmic complexity of minimal music, and the essentialist harmonic reduction of alternative pop – serves as a blueprint. CLERQ is not a stylistic fusion, but a distillation: live, the ensemble offers a performance that is as immediate a physical experience as it is a calculated musical statement. Clemens Rofner (bass/composition), Max Dornauer (guitar), Sebastian Schneider (keys), Tobias Steinberger (percussion).
