
The 7 mills on the Pfarrwerfen Mühlbachl are unique in their kind. Water mills were already operated here in the Middle Ages. For centuries, these "Gmachmühlen", mills with only one room, contributed to the self-sufficiency of the rural population. On the picturesque mill circular path, the history and significance of grain cultivation is shown in the historic mill buildings and the technology of milling is made tangible. This provides a lively insight into the working methods and customs surrounding grain.
