What's it about?
The 7 Mühlen at Pfarrwerfener Mühlbachl are unique in their kind. They have been operated as water mills since the Middle Ages. Over centuries, these 'Gmachmühlen'—mills with only one room—contributed to the self-sufficiency of the rural population. Along the picturesque Mühlenrundweg (mill circular trail), the history and significance of grain cultivation are showcased in the historic mill buildings, and the milling technology is made experiential. This provides a lively insight into the working methods and customs related to grain.
