Cattle drive from the Mayerlehenhütte
What's it about?
Every year, the cattle drive is a special celebration in the life of the alpine summer! If the animals have survived the summer without incident, they are festively decorated and driven into the valley with a big celebration. Every year, the cattle drive from the Gruberalm is a fixed point in Hintersee. While people fortify themselves with hearty alpine dishes and listen to the last alpine sounds, the animals are decorated and prepared for the drive. In case of rain, the cattle drive will take place on Sunday. If no better weather is predicted for Sunday either, then the cattle drive will take place as planned on Saturday.
