What's it about?

"New York, New York" – a New Year's concert full of waltz joy, Broadway glamour, and American sounds on Friday, January 15, 2027 at 7 p.m. in the opulent Freskensaal of Schloss Zell an der Pram! When the lively waltz melodies of Johann Strauss meet the shine of Broadway, the new year begins with a musical fireworks display of a special kind. Under the title "New York, New York," the Salon Orchestra INNfonietta, conducted by Gerhard Karl, takes its audience on a fascinating journey from the magnificent ballrooms of Vienna to the glittering world of the American musical metropolis. The program combines the elegance and joie de vivre of the Strauss dynasty with the unforgettable melodies of Broadway. Waltzes, polkas, and overtures are paired with famous songs and timeless hits that capture the pulse of the city that never sleeps. Musical bridges between Europe and America are built, not least, by the lively operetta "Die Dollarprinzessin" by Leo Fall, which connects the American dream with Viennese charm, and the famous march "The Stars and Stripes Forever" by John Philip Sousa, one of the most recognizable musical symbols of the United States. Look forward to a festive concert evening full of energy, charm, and great emotions. With virtuosic playing and stylistic diversity, the sINNfonietta presents a program that celebrates the turn of the year musically while also looking across the Atlantic – from the Danube to the Hudson River, from Strauss to Broadway.
