Repair-Café Pettenbach

What's it about?

It is a joint effort to repair, chat, and exchange ideas. In the end, all devices are functional again, and we look forward to the next time and a small donation. Everything that can be carried with two hands and is used for daily purposes will be repaired. The title "Repair-Café" or in German "Reparatur-Café" can be confusing – it is not a coffee house. However, to sweeten the waiting time, volunteers in our Repair-Café still offer coffee and cake. Since all helpers work on a voluntary and non-profit basis, we are very grateful for the premises provided by the community. Anyone who would like to participate or help can contact Heimo Sauer at Brillenkistl or via email at tomjones80@gmx.at. Starting from October 2024, there will be a Repair-Café in Pettenbach at the former fire station Pettenbach every 4th Friday of the month from 6 to 8 pm. Exceptions will be announced in advance. This monthly repetition also allows us to complete a repair in two stages. For example, during the first appointment, the fault is identified and the spare part is ordered, and at the next Repair-Café, it is installed together, and everyone celebrates the successful repair.
