Landesmusikschule Pettenbach

The building of the Pettenbach Music School has a rich history: It was originally a moated castle that was historically mentioned as far back as the 13th century. The cross vaults, the lunettes, and the over 1-meter-thick walls on the ground floor, as well as the absence of a cellar, still tell of this time. For over 100 years, the municipal office of Pettenbach was housed in this building. The poet Käthe Klotz (wife of the municipal doctor Med. Rat. Dr. Hans Klotz, a relative of the famous South Tyrolean Georg Klotz) also lived and worked here on the 2nd floor.
