What's it about?

"Seismographic Calligraphies" opening on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 2 p.m. The exhibition runs until October 31, 2026. Wolfgang Maria Reiter writes in his works the same text that has not left him since his early childhood. Through constant repetition, the actual content of the text recedes into the background, and the script becomes a means of design, with writing transforming into a repetitive, meditative process. The meaning is always present, but the central focus of the works is the form. Reiter uses the continuous line of the arranged letters to create his images in various formats. These range from miniatures to three-dimensional text objects, which he folds and shapes from described paper. Wolfgang Maria Reiter writes with wooden sticks and ink on transparent paper. The act of writing becomes a projection surface for the artist's feelings and moods. Norbert Trawöger calls his works "seismographic calligraphies." Admission to the museum.
