Ana María Caballero: 50 Ways of Looking at a Poem
What's it about?
At the center of the exhibition are 50 original, hand-annotated paper variations of a single poem. Each version documents an individual reading and makes visible how meaning is created in the act of reading. The work sees itself as a collective poetic system in which authorship, interpretation, and materiality intertwine. In addition, the exhibition presents other selected positions of contemporary poetry at the interface with digital art. The works shown examine language as a visual, performative, and technological medium and expand the poem beyond the page into digital, processual, and spatial forms.
