Since 1999, organic cheese varieties have been produced in the monastery cheese dairy. The original "Schlierbacher" is the oldest cheese variety, produced continuously since 1924. It is a surface-ripened soft cheese with red culture. Program: As part of the tour, we will show you monastery rooms such as the Bernardisaal, the library, the cloister with the Schlierbacher Madonna, and the stained glass gallery with a subsequent cheese tasting. We also offer our guests cheese and wine degustations accompanied by a knowledgeable cheese and wine sommelier.
