What's it about?

In the first three days, participants can either undertake large ceramic projects or take time to experiment with more complex techniques, such as modeling heads, wheel throwing, or building free-form objects. Beginners without specific plans or prior knowledge are also invited to gain insight into the diverse world of ceramics and to learn about various techniques and clay types at their own pace. The participants will receive individual support from workshop leader Josseline Engeler in implementing their projects. This summer, the focus is on exploring and deepening different techniques. Theoretical knowledge about construction techniques, wheel throwing, glazing, and firing processes will be provided in spoken and written form. The objects created—after drying and bisque firing—will be glazed together on a fourth workshop day and then fired in the kiln for a smooth glaze firing.
