Anton Bruckner (1824 to 1896) puzzled his contemporaries and remains a mystery to this day, around which interpretations and anecdotes abound. In Steyr, he found "coolness and calm" for composing and formed close friendly relationships. The exhibition "UN#ERHÖRT, dieser Bruckner!" at the Steyr City Museum invites visitors to follow Bruckner's traces in Steyr and get to know his acquaintances. The curators show how Bruckner's pursuit of recognition #ERHÖRT and how he has been celebrated in Steyr since then. Visitors will encounter the composer and #HÖREN works by the master. Interactive music installations and contemporary compositions transport visitors into previously unknown sound worlds. The exhibition explores the person Anton Bruckner in Steyr and tells UN#ERHÖRTE stories.
