Together with the Sing Aktiv Gemeinschaft, go on a musical treasure hunt. October 24, 2026, at 7:30 PM and October 25, 2026, at 3:00 PM, Johann Gruber Parish Center in St. Georgen an der Gusen. With 117 years of choral history, more than 1,250 archived works, and plenty of musical treasures, this year's autumn concert invites you on a special musical discovery journey. Under the motto "Re-discovered – Treasures from the Archive," works that have been sleeping in the club archive for many decades will be performed on October 24, 2026, at 7:30 PM and October 25, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Since 1909, there has been a singing club in St. Georgen an der Gusen. What has changed over the decades is the name – the joy of singing together has remained. Since 2014, the club has been called the Sing Aktiv Gemeinschaft. For the autumn concert, the extensive club archive was thoroughly searched. More than 1,250 pieces are stored there – a musical repository reflecting the club's eventful history. Among them are sacred works, folk songs, and curiosities, spanning various musical genres and arrangements. Some of these pieces have long been forgotten, while others have survived the test of time. The autumn concert aims to bring them back to life. The musical journey ranges from traditional folk songs to works from popular music. There may also be some musical surprises. "Re-discovered – Treasures from the Archive" is not only a concert but also a journey through 117 years of club and choir history. The Sing Aktiv Gemeinschaft makes audible what has been preserved in old sheet music and yellowed folders over decades – and shows that many musical treasures have not lost their charm even after many years.
