First Aid Course: 6 Hours

What's it about?

In this course, you will learn the 'life-saving immediate measures at the accident scene' (SM) as a legally required training for obtaining a driver's license. The courses take place at the rescue service station of the Samariterbund Alkoven. As a participant, after completing the instruction, you will be able to recognize the following hazards and take effective measures against them: • Securing the emergency scene • Rescuing from the danger zone • Recognizing a life-threatening situation due to disturbances in consciousness, breathing, circulation, or injuries • Alerting emergency services (calling emergency number) • Clearing and maintaining the airways • Resuscitation • Shock management • Bleeding control • Wound care • Treatment of broken bones Participants are required to actively participate in the practical exercises during the instruction. Legal basis: This course meets the requirements for first aid training for obtaining a driver's license according to §6 FSG-DV.
