The exhibition "Capsicum - The World of Chili and Paprika" offers a compact insight into the botany, history, and culinary diversity of the genus Capsicum. It shows how paprika, pepperoni, and countless chili varieties originated from wild chilies in Central and South America through thousands of years of cultivation, and illustrates their "triumphal march" around the world.Besides exciting cultural-historical aspects, the exhibition also highlights the use of chili in cooking and, of course, the effect of capsaicin, which gives chili its spiciness.Sat 09.05. to Sun 01.11. in the Botanical Garden (open air)Cost: only admission to the Botanical Garden
