Klub 27
What's it about?
A music show by and with Caroline Baas, Emma Bahlmann, Clemens Dönicke, Bettina Kerl, Michael Scherff, and Felix Thewanger. Join the ensemble on a journey through a musical history marked by excess, genius, and very early deaths. When Jim Morrison bids farewell to 2026 with "This is the End," it only marks the beginning of an intoxicating transition. We celebrate the musical legacy of the "Big Six" live, raw, and immediate. Kurt Cobain's angry "Smells Like Teen Spirit" from the grunge Olympus meets the virtuosic ecstasy of Jimi Hendrix’s "Hey Joe." Janis Joplin captivates us with her scream after the last "Piece of my Heart," while the longing lines of Amy Winehouse’s "Back to Black" echo through the hall. We remember the dark elegance of Brian Jones, whose spirit lives on in the early works of the Rolling Stones, like "Paint it Black." The ensemble invites you to sing along and dance until you shake off the old year! Music will be played until sparks fly, as we take the ultimate leap: with the songs of the far too early deceased 27-year-olds, we jump directly into 2027. What will you find? Freedom, humor, and the pure energy of rock ’n’ roll. In the end, only one mission remains – Reach the Stars. A celebration of life, music, and a radiant start to the new year!
