tanzmainz . Moritz Ostruschnjak
What's it about?
Virtuosic, young, powerful. In Trailer Park, Moritz Ostruschnjak explores how digital life changes our perception and bodily experience. On stage, a unique playing field emerges where the analog and digital merge. Nine dancers navigate a space filled with a mix of virtuosic movements that reflect both the overwhelm and the enthusiasm for the World Wide Web. This work, heavily inspired by social media, consciously employs the practice of 'Copy & Paste' to create a new digital dance language from fragments of the internet. The dancers move in a space between analog reality and the omnipresent digital sphere — dynamic, powerful, and expressive. Trailer Park is a reflection on today's world, where the boundaries between physical and virtual existence are increasingly blurring. Fast, fascinating, and full of energy! Moritz Ostruschnjak began his dance career with breakdancing and studied in Munich as well as with Maurice Béjart in Lausanne. Today, his works are regularly shown at European festivals. In 2020, he was awarded the Munich City Dance Promotion Prize and named one of the Aerowaves Twenty21 Artists.
