The NeverEnding Story
What's it about?
Bastian Balthasar Bux loves stories. And what could be more tempting than a story that is supposed to be 'endless'? So he begins to read and learns that the land of Fantasia is in great danger! A mysterious Nothing is spreading and devouring everything and everyone, hair and all. How can this destruction be stopped? The young warrior Atreyu is chosen to go on a journey to find a way to save Fantasia. Atreyu bravely faces every challenge and finally finds... Bastian? Bastian hesitates. Is he supposed to be the crucial puzzle piece in the story? But how can Bastian reach Fantasia? Join us on the journey in Michael Ende's spectacular classic! A classic that asks how one takes responsibility for the (own) world or prefers to leave its fate to others. A question that could not be more relevant today, because taking responsibility requires courage. The production by director Julia Hölscher, who repeatedly impresses with her visually powerful aesthetics at many theaters, invites wonder and excitement and shows that stories only live on if we keep telling them. An adventure about solidarity, self-confidence, and the magic of imagination.
