Initially, the friends try to cover up the mysterious disappearance of the hostess and the alleged suicide attempt of the host from each other in order to protect their reputation. In doing so, they increasingly get entangled in a thicket of lies. One catastrophe follows the next... With its brilliant dialogues, the play is considered a classic and is incredibly funny.
