What's it about?

A new version of "Sugar", the musical based on the well-known 1959 film "Some Like It Hot" by Billy Wilder and I. A. L. Diamond, was written in 2022. Content: At the last minute, Joe and Jerry, two men in women's clothing, manage to save the famous girl band "Society Syncopators" from disbanding. But their disguise plunges them into a dangerous world full of entanglements, rivalries, and gangster alerts. While trying to hide their true identities, they get caught between rival gangster gangs who have them on their hit list. Fleeing from the criminals who are looking for them in Miami, Joe and Jerry must maintain their roles as women – which leads to comical but also precarious situations. They meet Sugar, a kind-hearted ukulele girl who falls in love with the two men without suspecting who they really are. Meanwhile, passionate feelings develop between the two friends and Sugar, turning everything upside down. With a lot of wit, action, and romance, this turbulent comedy tells the story of courage, friendship, and the search for one's own happiness – full of surprising twists and unforgettable moments.
