On September 20, the big turf tournament returns to SV Donau. Six teams, an extraordinary variety of musical genres and, for the first time, a final with live music, DJ set and karaoke make the BFC a cult event with its own character. The Band Fußball Cup is back on the pitch: On Sunday, September 20, 2026, Austrian musicians, bands, creators and well-known personalities will swap the stage for the football pitch of SV Donau. According to current information, Chris Steger, Lucas Fendrich, Billie Steirisch, FANNI, Zug nach Wien, Heinz, Kitana, EsRAP as well as Kreiml & Samurai will be there. The metal scene is also represented with Headbangers United and participation from Mortal Strike. Admission is against a donation of 20 Euros or more, benefiting the Wiener Frauenhäuser (Viennese Women's Shelters) and White Ribbon Austria. The BFC is back on the pitch. After the big turf tournament had to pause in 2025 due to construction work at SV Donau, the Band Fußball Cup 2026 returns in full size. Admission is at 1:00 PM, kick-off is at 2:00 PM, and the program ends at 8:00 PM. On the pitch and around the playing field, hip-hop, Austropop, dialect pop, rock and metal meet cabaret, culture, social media and sport. The social purpose is not separate from the experience, but is part of it: football, music, encounters, entertainment and attitude belong together at the BFC. This creates an accessible event day that connects people and at the same time makes concrete support for protection against violence and violence prevention visible. Current Line-up: Hip-Hop, Austropop, Dialect-Pop, Rock and Metal. For the Band Fußball Cup 2026, Chris Steger, Lucas Fendrich, Billie Steirisch, Lika Doss, FANNI, Zug nach Wien and Heinz are currently announced. With Kitana, EsRAP as well as Kreiml & Samurai, the Austrian hip-hop scene is also prominently represented. Metal power is brought to the pitch by the Headbangers United team with participation from Mortal Strike. Six teams, a binding fair play idea. Six teams with around ten players each compete in a small-field format. Each team includes at least two women; compact matches are played over two six-minute halves. The fast format ensures dynamism, strong images and close proximity between active participants and the audience. Romeo Bissuti from White Ribbon Austria will give a short speech at the BFC and, together with representatives of the Wiener Frauenhäuser, will perform the symbolic kick-off. This makes the central message of the day visible even before the first match: fair play does not end with the final whistle.
