Talschaftsmuseum "Zeitreise Defereggen"

What's it about?

The exhibition was opened in 2005 in the basement of the music pavilion in St. Jakob i.D. and has since been an interesting cultural excursion destination. The "Zeitreise Defereggen" offers a special experience in two separate rooms: visitors can interactively travel through the millennia in the first room, from the Ice Age to modern times, in a time-lapse. The approximately 1000-year-old dugout canoe, preserved in a glass case, is the centerpiece of the display in the second room, where finds from the hunting station at Hirschbichl or the mining boom period can also be admired.
