What's it about?

The Neue Philharmonie München (NPhM) is a symphony orchestra consisting of music students from around the world. The NPhM performs regularly in the Herkulessaal of the Munich Residenz and at numerous guest concerts both domestically and internationally. In 2025, the NPhM celebrated its 20th anniversary. The NPhM is musically mentored by members of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Bavarian State Orchestra, and experienced teachers from renowned music academies in Germany and Europe. Fuad Ibrahimov, born in Azerbaijan in 1982, was a young student of viola at the Baku Music Academy. After further studies in conducting at the Cologne University of Music, he performed with renowned orchestras in Germany, Europe, and Asia. Since 2014, he has been the director of the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra and chief conductor of the Neue Philharmonie München and the Baku Chamber Orchestra.
