Hofkirchenkonzerte der Wiltener Sängerknaben
What's it about?
Innsbruck will once again host the late summer Hofkirchenkonzerte (Court Church Concerts) of the Wiltener Sängerknaben (Wilten Boys' Choir) starting on September 12, 2026. This concert series has enjoyed great popularity for years among both tourists and locals – not least because of the fantastic atmosphere of the "Schwarzmanderkirche" (Black Men's Church). Under the direction of Johannes Stecher, the Wiltener Sängerknaben present music from the late Renaissance through the early Baroque period to the 21st century, including excerpts from C. M. von Weber's Jubelmesse, as well as works by Viadana, Schütz, Bach, Rutter, and Stecher – consistently music that is particularly expressively brought to life by the clear, luminous sound of boys' voices! Folk songs from the Alpine region round off the program. Each Thursday, Friday, or Saturday from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the Innsbruck Hofkirche (Universitätsstraße 2). Late summer dates: Sat, Sep 12; Fri, Sep 18; Thu, Sep 24; Fri, Oct 2.
