With Daniel Casares, one of the most distinguished guitarists of contemporary flamenco takes the stage. The artist from Málaga attracted international attention early on: At just 16, he won the Bordón Minero de La Unión, later the Premio Nacional de Guitarra de Jaén; shortly thereafter he recorded his first album. Casares' music combines the flamenco tradition deeply rooted in Andalusia with contemporary openness and great sonic curiosity. Collaborations with artists such as Alejandro Sanz, Miguel Poveda, Dulce Pontes or José Mercé testify to his stylistic range. El poder de lo sutil is a poetic homage to the quiet, often unheard forces of music - to those moments in which intensity unfolds not in the loud, but in the subtle.
