The Barbara-Egger-Park, once an important meeting place since the time of the Austrian Monarchy, was a popular festival ground for guests and locals from the 1960s until the turn of the millennium. After about 20 years of dormancy, the park has now finally been revitalized. The park, idyllically situated above Millstatt, impresses with a magnificent view of Lake Millstatt as far as Seeboden, as well as of the town with its historic abbey building. The reopened observation tower and the old trees invite visitors to linger. The revitalization of the park, which is owned by the Agrargemeinschaft Nachbarschaft, sustainably strengthens the townscape and makes it an attractive local recreation area in the western center of Millstatt am See.
