An extraordinary concert evening that combines music and spoken word into a multi-layered artistic experience. The program spans a wide arc through different eras, styles, and sound worlds: from the classical expressiveness of Ludwig van Beethoven to the Nordic-influenced sound language of Edvard Grieg and the dazzling colors of Claude Debussy, all the way to the already audible modernity of early Anton Webern. Furthermore, with the passionate, rhythmically driven sounds of Astor Piazzolla and the poetically subtle music of Lili Boulanger, a fascinating spectrum of musical expressions unfolds. The works enter into a special dialogue with the spoken word. Between the individual musical contributions, Maximilian Achatz recites selected texts, thus creating new perspectives and transitions. Music and literature meet, complement each other, and open up a tension that characterizes the entire evening. This creates a program full of contrasts and connections – sometimes powerful and passionate, sometimes poetic and contemplative, sometimes of great sonic intensity and then again of quiet, concentrated expressiveness. A concert evening that invites listening, reflection, and discovery, and focuses on the diversity of musical and linguistic expression.
