What's it about?

MINI-Museum: Little Hands – Big Treasures invites visitors to discover the world through the eyes of children. At the MINI-Museum Mallnitz, young explorers open their treasure chests – filled with finds from nature and culture, collected in the mountains of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Sparkling stones, colorful feathers, or mysterious bones tell stories of curiosity, observation, and the spirit of discovery. Over 1,000 real treasures make the diversity of nature tangible. In 26 treasure chests, the alphabet of the national park unfolds – from A for eagle feather to Z for stone pine cone. Exciting search tasks and an interactive activity area invite visitors to explore, marvel, and participate in research. The MINI-Museum Mallnitz is Europe's first museum created by children dedicated to biodiversity – now visiting at kärnten.museum in Klagenfurt. An experience for young and old explorers.
