What's it about?

A special film and discussion evening is scheduled at the Kammerhofmuseum in Bad Aussee. For the special exhibition "1945 The End of the War in Ausseerland", Markus Raich and Hans Fuchs have produced several short films that deal with topics of regional contemporary history. The focus is on "The SS Unit in Öderntal", "Kaltenbrunner's Escape into the Totes Gebirge" and "War Criminals on the Blaa-Alm". Following the film screenings, German historian Stephanie Salzmann and co-curator Hans Fuchs will analyze the content shown, illuminate the historical contexts and discuss the significance of the events in a regional and supra-regional context.
