FLAMENCO with "Las hermanas" Workshop for beginners and participants with prior knowledge. Session 1: 10:00 – 12:00 € 55, Session 2: 13:30 – 15:30 € 55, Both sessions: € 95, Location: ÖHA small hall. The fascinating world of flamenco! Passion and power of the fiery solo dance from southern Spain! The workshop is open to women and men and requires no prior knowledge. If you already have some experience, it will be refined and expanded. No dance partner is needed! Since 2010, flamenco has been part of the intangible cultural heritage of the world! Flamenco is an expressive and passionate art form that originated in the southern regions of Spain, especially Andalusia. It is a combination of music, dance, and singing, often accompanied by hand clapping, guitar playing, and special singing styles. Course content: · Introduction to the world of flamenco · Technical and rhythmic exercises: Braceo - arm movements Zapateado technique - foot percussion Cadera – hip and posture exercises Marcaje - simple step combinations · Developing a flamenco choreography Rent your flamenco outfit: You can rent your complete dance attire from us for the duration of the workshop: flamenco skirt and flamenco shoes. About "Las hermanas": The sisters Tanja (Tanja Rojas) and Selina Stekl (Selina Zamora) from Graz, known as "Las hermanas,” received their dance training mainly in Spain. Their most important teachers include Rosa García and Enrique Burgos from the family of the Spanish flamenco legend Antonio El Bailarín. Both guided Las hermanas to professionalism and provided the foundation for their dance careers. They also received important impulses from renowned artists such as Chiqui de Jerez (Jerez de la Frontera) and Manolo Marín (Seville). They completed their skills in master classes (Amor de Dios - Madrid) with Antonio and Manuel Reyes, Merche Esmeralda, La Tati, Alfonso Losa, Carmela Greco, and Carlos Vilan. They danced from 1997-2001 in the flamenco group "Tierra seca," Alcalá (2001-2009), Pianoflamenco, and since 2009 in the formation "las hermanas." Collaborations with philharmonic orchestras, chamber music ensembles, and flamenco artists at home and abroad followed, as well as television appearances. In 2009, they founded the flamenco group "las hermanas"; collaborations with gamsbART "Night of Flamenco," dance theater projects like "Gladiadoras," "Dicotomías," "Best of and…," "Flamencobeats."
