Living Earth history - Visit to the Odelsteinhöhle in Johnsbach. The Odelsteinhöhle in the rear Johnsbach Valley was declared a natural monument in 1931 due to its unusually rich mineral deposits. The 470-meter-long cave system contains significant iron, copper, and Fahlerz deposits that extend from the neighboring Erzberg through Radmer to Johnsbach. The Odelsteinhöhle became world-famous for its originally rich deposits of greenish-blue aragonite crystals. The Odelsteinhöhle is a unique natural jewel and invites an adventurous exploration.
