At Abenteuer Radwerk IV, young visitors can expect an exciting journey of discovery through one of the most important industrial monuments in the region. Playfully and age-appropriately, they will learn how ore was once transformed into pig iron. On Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 3:00 PM, Radwerk IV at Peter-Tunner-Straße 2, 8794 Vordernberg, opens its doors for curious children and their accompanying persons. Particularly impressive are the operational water wheel, the steam blower, and the fascinating view from above into the blast furnace. With child-friendly explanations, Werner Gabler, Helga Papst, and Brigitte Schranz accompany the young participants on the journey from ore to pig iron, making history and technology tangible in a vivid way. Important information: Children under 8 years of age can only participate when accompanied by an adult.
