WETTERSTURZ - Weather Practical Seminar

What's it about?

Mag. Gundula Tackner ("The Mountain Guide") invites you to the WETTERSTURZ – Weather Practical Seminar with Alois Holzer on September 26–27, 2026, at the Edelraute Hut in Hohentauern (Styria). Over two practical days, you will learn how to effectively use weather information and apps for mountain tours, interpret forecast uncertainties correctly, recognize danger signals in the sky, and develop appropriate strategies for tour and group decisions. Prices/Agenda: - 2 days with 4 indoor sessions and 2 outdoor tours - Course fee: €290 per person (minimum 8 participants) - Additional costs: overnight stay including half-board at the Edelraute Hut (AV/non-AV prices according to the hut) and possibly tolls - Not included: insurance - Requirements: fitness and equipment for 4–6 hours in alpine terrain, even in wet, cold, and stormy weather Registration/Info: gundula@tackner.at +43 664 4432345 Note: Breaks/exercises (including with mobile phones) may be conducted in cold conditions.
