What's it about?
STAGE PRODUCTION of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale The Snow Queen. Once upon a time, there was an ice mirror that made everything beautiful appear ugly and everything ugly appear beautiful. When the mirror shattered, thousands of shards flew through the world. If a shard hit a heart, it became as cold as ice; if it hit an eye, only evil could be seen. The orphan boy Kay is struck by such shards. He becomes mean to his friend Gerda and spends his time with naughty boys. In winter, the beautiful Snow Queen kidnaps him to her icy palace. When Kay does not return, Gerda sets out to find him. Along the way, she meets a lonely fairy, a prince and a princess, as well as bandits. Eventually, a bandit girl and a reindeer help her. In the castle of the Snow Queen, Gerda finds Kay almost frozen. The queen has promised to release him if he can spell the word 'Eternity' from ice. Due to the shard in his eye, he cannot do it. Only Gerda's tears melt his heart and remove the shards. Now Kay can spell the word and returns home with Gerda. There, they realize they have grown up in the meantime.
