What's it about?
An offering for people with dementia as well as their relatives and caregivers. The Café VergissMeinNicht sees itself as a meeting point for people with dementia and their relatives and caregivers. It provides a protected space for community, exchange, and new impulses, a place for encounters and activation – with the goal of making life with dementia a little easier, more lively, and more communal. For those affected, an activating program with music, movement, creativity, and exercises for everyday skills is offered. The focus for people with dementia is on promoting resources and everyday competencies: movement activities to enhance mobility perception exercises music and rhythmic impulses creative design activities memory training and biography work At the same time, relatives and caregivers have the opportunity to relax, exchange ideas, or participate in short thematic impulses and mindfulness exercises. The café offers a valuable break – for pausing, breathing, and exchanging with others in similar life situations: conversations among peers mindfulness exercises to strengthen personal resources concise informational inputs on relevant topics such as adult representation, dealing with challenging situations, or psychohygiene.
