What's it about?
COMEBACK OF THE YEAR At the Poetry Slam, everything that literature can be comes together: dialect puns, touching poetry, fantastic rhyme cascades, socio-critical tirades... This competition of poets and writers changes its form with each contribution and offers the audience variety in the form of entertainment with depth as an interface between high culture and cabaret. We celebrate the grand return of the format to its Upper Styrian home with high-profile guests from near and far. In addition to invited guests, there is an open list for anyone who wants to enter the competition with their own texts. Who wins, that is traditionally decided by the audience at the Poetry Slam. Grammar, spelling and literary criteria don't matter: what counts is the enthusiasm for the spoken word. As always, the motto is: You can't compare art - we do it anyway!
