Wiener Glasharmonika Duo
What's it about?
WIENER GLASHARMONIKA DUO – Glass Harmonica & Verrophon With the Wiener Glasharmonika Duo, Christa and Gerald Schönfeldinger take their audience into a fascinating world of sound made of floating, crystal-clear tones. As internationally renowned specialists on the rare instruments glass harmonica and verrophon, they are among the leading performers of this extraordinary repertoire. Their Advent program combines works from Mozart to Arvo Pärt with sensitive arrangements and meditative soundscapes of particular intensity. The unique glass sounds create an atmosphere between reflection and wonder – ideal for the quiet time of the year. Performances at renowned festivals and in major concert halls such as the Vienna Musikverein or the Mozart Week Salzburg highlight the ensemble's international significance. An extraordinary concert experience full of poetic sound colors that makes the magic of Advent audible in a special way.
